Purple Heart

Earlier this year I had the distinct honor of meeting a gentleman who was a Purple Heart recipient.  He was also very active in the Military Order of the Purple Heart, which recognizes towns, cities, and universities as Purple Heart entities.  I thought what a lovely way to honor Chillicothe's Purple Heart recipients.  After a massive campaign with local veteran organizations, businesses, and police and fire, Chillicothe received the designation as a Purple Heart City.  The Patriot Members of the Miitary Order of the Purple Heart came out to make the presentation to Chillicothe City Council on June 28, 2021.
